The English band New Order is thirty-five years old. There might have been no LCD Soundsystem, or the Rapture, or the flurry of similar acts that arose in New York in the early aughts; there would be no Radiohead, either. His mere name, Selway explained, had reduced the other members of Radiohead to a state of hushed awe. The music of New Order has created a kind of communion between the melodic conventions of pop and the rhythmic possibilities of dance music—and also between traditional rock instruments bass, guitar, drums and electronic alternatives drum machines, synthesizers, sequencers. The musicians give something heartfelt to their machines, while the machines propel the musicians beyond their human deficiencies. But could it be one without Gillian Gilbert? Where does the spirit of the band reside? It is difficult for the musicians of New Order to surpass themselves, or to convince a listener that they have anything left to prove. Just as the members of New Order have tended to be subsumed by the group as a whole, the visual style creates a dislocation between the band and its audience. The song moves smoothly, in a seamless blend of instruments; its craft is something that clumsier bands might covet.

New Order would go on to become one of the most successful and innovative dance acts of all time, creating an aesthetic that split the difference between guitar-heavy post-punk and club-ready dance music. Some 30 years later, New Order continue to develop and refine the template they essentially created with surprisingly positive results. It also reflects a series of shifts within the band, created after the departure of bassist Peter Hook and reintroducing original keyboardist Gillian Gilbert back into the fold. New bassist Tom Chapman, who formerly played with Sumner in Bad Lieutenant , creates a pretty faithful simulacrum of Hook's signature sound both live and on record. In large part, they manage to succeed. On even their most classic records, New Order can be amazingly inconsistent, the truly great songs always eclipsing the simply forgettable ones.

Music Complete is the tenth studio album by English rock band New Order. It was released on 25 September by Mute Records , their debut on the label. During summer , New Order promoted the album through online media, at Lollapalooza Chile with "Singularity" and " Plastic ", and half-minute snippets directly on their YouTube account.
