Demigods are the end result of a god and a mortal mostly with a human having a child together. Most of them also have ADHD and dyslexia to help them learn Latin and ancient Greek and to help them concentrate in battle though some possess one of these abilities only while others possess none. While most demigods are created much like regular humans, children of Athena are born from their mother's thoughts merging with their father's. In this way, Athena remains a virgin goddess and it reflects how she herself was born, sprouting from the head of Zeus. It is unknown if other virgin goddesses or gods in general have a special way to have children like Athena.

A Demigod is a minor Deity , sometimes synonymous with the gender-neutral term Demideity , but more commonly the term is used to describe a demideity that is male. Demigods usually are the product of intercourse between a human and a deity, though in some cases the term demideity can describe a mortal that has been promoted to a minor deity after death . Demigods typically have powers and abilities that are beyond what is possible for a human, but less than that of a true deity . Demigods are most notably known from ancient Greek mythology, though similar concepts can be found in mythologies around the world. The term used in ancient Greece for a demigod was " hemitheos ," with the prefix " hemi- " translating to English as " half " and " theos " being the term for " god. In Latin the term " semideus ," which has been attributed to the famous poet Ovid, referred to less important deities, but also was used to describe demigods . The prefix " semi- " translates to English as either " half ," making it synonymous with the Greek " hemi- ," or it can translate to " partially ," or " less than fully. The Latin prefix used in the English term, " demi- ," also translated to " half ," but can also translate to " partially ," or " slightly inferior. Sign In Don't have an account?
A demigod or demi-god is a minor deity, or a mortal or immortal who is the offspring of a god and a human, or a figure who has attained divine status after death. The English term " demi- god" is a calque of the Latin word semideus , "half-god". In the ancient Greek and Roman world, the concept of a demigod did not have a consistent definition and associated terminology rarely appeared.
